Aside from Sarah's annoying use of ellipses and the word(?) "merp," which is already pretty bad, she has also resorted to footnoting her speech. Meaning, she is saying something she doesn't expect you to understand. But because she is generous, and rather than speaking more plainly, she added a hot link so that you can read up on it and become as informed as her.

  1. yep, she has enlightened us all...though this revulsion theory is weird, i feel repulsed by actual humans more than animated characters/robots behaving like one.

  2. Normally I agree with Walter's assessment of status messages, but on this one I have to say:

    1. I enjoy anything that involves impending robotic doom.

    2. I enjoy anything that forces people to read obscure Wikipedia entries. I mean really what's the joy in FB statuses if I can't force my friends to read about things I am interested in that they will most likely a. hate, b. not understand, or c. not care about.

  5. Aw, but I LOVE the uncanny valley. It's so spooky and proof that humans are not as good at utilizing technology as they think they are. i'm glad she's spreading the word. she prefaced it with a shitload of disclaimers, though. She cares too much about people who would criticize her for criticizing Up.
